Getting Started at Fairmount

Taking the first step shouldn't feel complicated.

Whether you're beginning therapy for the first time or returning to counseling, we're glad you're here.

At Fairmount Mental Wellness, we believe that getting started should feel simple, comfortable, and welcoming. From scheduling your first appointment to beginning treatment, we want you to feel informed, supported, and confident about your next steps.

Here's what to expect.

Step 1: Schedule Your First Appointment

Getting started is easy. This will take 3-5 minutes tops! Simply click the button below to view available appointments and select a time that works for you.

You'll be directed to our secure scheduling system, where you can begin the process of becoming a new client.

Step 2: Complete Your New Client Paperwork

Once your appointment is scheduled, you'll receive instructions for completing your intake paperwork through our secure client portal.

This includes important information about your background, what brings you to counseling, our practice policies, and payment arrangements.

Completing these forms before your appointment allows us to spend more of our time together focusing on what matters most to you.

Step 3: Attend Your First Session

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other.

We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, the challenges you're experiencing, and what you'd like to be different in your life.

There's no need to prepare the perfect explanation or know exactly where to begin. We'll take the time to understand your concerns, answer your questions, and begin identifying a path forward.

Step 4: Create a Plan for Moving Forward

Therapy is a collaborative process.

Together, we'll identify meaningful goals and develop an approach that fits your needs. Throughout our work, we'll regularly reflect on your progress, explore what's helping, and make adjustments as needed.

The goal isn't simply to feel better during our sessions. It's to help you create meaningful, lasting changes in your everyday life.
